Résumé : |
The book is about Digory and Polly, two children living in London. Digory lives there with his aunt and Uncle because his mother is very ill. When they are exploring their rowhouse, they come upon Digory's Uncle Andrews study. Then Polly touches one of Uncle Andrews magic rings and she disappears. Digory decides to go after her to bring her home. They find out they are in a wood between different worlds. Using the rings, they jump into one of the pools and come in the empty dead world of Charn, where they accidentally awaken the evil witch Jadis, who destroyed Charn and now wants to take over other worlds.
Then Jadis comes home with them to London, where she destroyes a lot until Digory and Polly use the rings to bring her back to the wood. Only they jump into the wrong pool and come in the wrong world. Uncle Andrew, Polly and Digory take a hansom with a horse and enter a world that is just being created. The Creator, Aslan the great Lion, sends Digory on a quest to protect the young land of Narnia from the evil that has entered it. Digory has to get an apple of the tree that will make Jadis go away out of Narnia. At the end the mean Jadis is gone and Digory gets a special apple from Aslan to cure his sick mother. She gets well again and Polly and Digory put the magic rings in the ground so no one could ever use them again. scholieren.com |
